The Bachelorette - She let Reid Go?!
Wow, REID'S GONE!?
Hmm...I was sure he was staying. And the reason I was sure was because of Jillian's, seemingly, intelligence and independance; which led me to believe she possesed the capability to understand these paticular men, their motives, and overall chemistry together. (I suppose with the exception of Wes!) Only Jillian herself, clearly, can understand the depth of a relationship she shares with another, but as it was played out on television and perceived (by myself), it seemed as if Reid complimented her dearly and had the most potential for the possibility of a long term connection and love.
For what I have witnessed, up until last night - I believe Jillian is much attracted to Ed's looks and his openess for displaying his seemingly "undying" affection and love and that seems "safe" and "reliable" to her. However, I also believe that while Reid couldnt/didn't vocalize his emotions the same as Ed, she knew his ultimate affection towards her was deep and very real.
I think she was caught up in thinking Ed is a "Sure thing" (with whom she has almost adored since their 1st date - rightfully so, it was good date!) and she didnt want to give that up; understandable, but Kypton? Why Kypton.? My personal taste doesnt believe he is as "hot" as others have described him to be (cute though, yes)...Why would she keep a guy who, in his last words through his personal video to Jillian, signs off saying "Let's do this!" as if it were an adventurous undertaking of climbing Everest!? He certainly gives an impression that he is enjoying the adventure of the Bachelorette, but long term commitments seem questionable.
In any case, I hope to have a connection with someone the same as Jillian had with Reid someday. Overall, you have to wish her happiness.
Note to Jillian: NO ONE would be angry with you if you accepted Reid back after taping, realizing you made a mistake!
( just aviod break-ups made on air in Special "After the Rose" tapings and I believe you'll be safe from similar fan lashings of your former potential Bachelor, Jason!)
