I guess the dimwit is still a dimwit as well as a buffoon since I do agree with Cheryl about Mal. She thinks Mal smartened up and tossed that filthy hallion out. I'm not exactly sure what she called Mercedes but it sounded like hallion. I guess it could have been hellion but she's kooky calling onions scallions so who knows what she said. Sadly there's no close caption option to check what she said and I don't speak the language even though it can sound like American it isn't.
Ravi's right because Cheryl shouldn't just throw all that money away but if she wants to give some away I wouldn't mind having some. It sounds like she wants to buy the Loft but doesn't have enough to do it. Nope she wasn't happy at all when she met Mal because oops Mercedes ended up coming back with him. I guess Mom found out about the affair with Calvin so she tossed them out. Doesn't it just make you want to slap the guy? I guess some people might compare him to Ridge Forrester.
I was wondering who that guy was that Cheryl was hugging. It turns out that she has a brother named Brett at least I think she said Brett. Well sometimes accents can be tricky but I'm pretty sure it was Brett although I guess it could be Rhett but I think it is Brett. He doesn't seem to be a fan of Kris so that's one strike against him since I adore Kris and will miss Gerald when he's gone from Hollyoaks. She tells her brother about what she's bought like clothes and shoes and a violin. I'm just not sure why she'd buy a violin. I guess she could always take lessons.
More is revealed about Des when he talks to Jacqui. It turns out that a guy from Pakistan was the one driving the car that hit his parents car and killed them. Okay I get not forgiving that guy but not the part where he's holding it against everyone that isn't white. He certainly got pissed off when she mentioned that he was just one man and mentioned that Tina was killed by someone white. Nice going Jacqui after all according to his twisted logic that should be fine since the guy was white and he killed someone that had a black Father. I just don't get people like that because it doesn't make any sense.
I think he said he was ten so basically Rose had to step in and raise him which probably wasn't such a good idea since she created quite the little monster didn't she? Okay his sister is horrible and filled his head with all that crap but he was a kid so he can't really use that excuse now that he's an adult. Getting away from her is a good idea because Rose is horrible but eh can't expect Jacqui to expect him to flip a switch and change. She certainly shouldn't be marrying this guy and he'd have to prove himself before she should even consider being around him at all.
He claims that he wants to change which I might have believed more if he fessed up to being the one that came up with the idea for vandalizing the Loft. Also he should apologize to Zak for taking advantage of him when he was vulnerable and grieving for his brother. Des brought up Zak but Jacqui mentioned that it was different with Zak because he wasn't thinking because he'd just lost his brother while Des had been this way for years. It isn't the same thing at all and Zak regrets what he did. He was even willing to go to the police and confess to prove it but Michaela wouldn't let him which I thought was a good sign but not so much.
Rose of course wasn't happy that Des was pointing the finger at her so she ended up going to the McQueens. Oh sure Rose you're a wonderful human being teaching your little brother to hate people who don't have the same skin color. She needs to butt out. I think Des would be better off without her but I'm hoping that Jacqui just doesn't forgive him for this. She ends up leaving and goes to Ravi to show him the video Zak made of Des confessing to what he had done which pissed off Ravi. Don't blame him one bit so it looked like he was going to attack Des but Jacqui stopped him although it sounds like she wants to make him pay for what he did. Michaela tells Zak that they're over.
It was nice to see Carmel. She had Bart with her at Evissa and Bubble Head showed up wanting to get her nails done and a facial. She brought Jasmine along who just seemed so incredibly bored. Hell I do my own nails since it is kind of silly to pay someone to do them. Oh nice Bubble Head brags about having three kids without having a mark on her. I think cousin Bart liked the view but Jasmine just wished she could divorce her Mom. Well there are ways to do that. You can get emancipated which is kind of like a divorce right? I wonder if she knows that Evissa's going to be put up for sale. I wonder if she'll notice the money that Bart stole from the register.
