Fox's MORE TO LOVE

Wow-eeee...."More to Love" ...thats for sure!! And I dont announce that because of the size of the participants, I say it as in; there is MORE downright hilarious reality TV watching TO LOVE with this show!
The idea and concept of the show are valid. I'd be down to watch a "Bachelor" themed show with contestants who are a little more than "big boned" with no judgement or rebuff. Hell, bring on the "Real Size Women"!!
More To Love

However, the premier of this show brought me the greatest laugh I've had in a very long time! Who are these girls and what are the Producers coaching them to do?! This very well could have been a sketch from Mad TV! A vast majority of these girls were acting so featherbrained and light-headed, Im not sure how its possible to try and take the show as serious.
I have to admit that I was laughing so hard most of the show that I didn't really catch alot of what was actually said. But I'll recap as best as I can remember...

The show begins of course with a montra of clips to introduce Luke, the shows chosen Hefty Man to star as their guy looking for love.
They immediately address his love for food and big women. Which I think might as well be the title of the show, "Food and Big Women"..because thats the way Fox is expoliting the show to be seen. I guess this show is to be taken very lightly and with a very big grain of salt.
Anyhow, Luke confesses his "Primortial" love for meat and explains his passion for grilling. And so begins the plot/theme for the love of food and being overweight.

Then in true Bachelor fashion, Luke stands and waits patiently in the driveway of his big mansion, in which he shall fall in love in, for the women to arrive in Limo's.
The first girl to step out was a blonde in a quite chesty revealing blue dress. She walks up to Luke, he stares at her "upper half" and they exchange their first set of words. This mainly is the premis for this part of the show. Girl after girl steps out from the limo and says (or does) what they think will make a lasting first impression on Luke. Uh, ok, this is where the laughs start rolling (for me) and the cockamamie swooning of these girls kicks in. ...Oh, and I cant leave out the fact that as EVERY girl enters the mansion after their meeting Luke, he STARES at each and every girls "junk in the trunk" as they walk away from him. {Do you think Producers and/or Editors of the Bachelor would ever allow such a faux pas to be aired on the show? No. And therein lies the major difference of this show and The Bachelor}.

After all ladies have introduced themselves, the cocktail meet and greet party, with meat Shish Kabob's and all, begins. The only thing I can really recall from this segment was Luke sitting down with the busty blonde in the blue dress, smitten with her and doing what he can to get a kiss. Within their talk together he finds out that she speaks Spanish. Well, the wheels start grinding immediately as he asks "How do you say kiss in Spanish?". She tells him, then he repeats it and says "Show Me?". Gross. Well, poor girl, being on the show and feeling pressured, she "shows him", (Yuck!) even despite the half disguted look on her face. (Watch it here at Fox.com)

Moving On: These girls get "Promise Rings" from Luke and after he introduces these rings and explains their meaning, they all get up from the mansion couches in no real order and wait like children getting an ice cream cone from the ice cream truck. It was very unrehearsed and scattered.
At the end of each show, all ladies must place their "Promise Rings" in a bowl, in which Luke hands back out (In a rose ceremony fashion) to the ones he wants to stay asking "Will you accept this Promise?".

And there it is: The making of a truly entertaining, ridiculous, lough out loud Reality Show.
I most likely will be keeping up with the show and be commenting each week. So, you can look out for more recaps of the show to come.

Departing Words:

If you have not seen this show - Do!
