Jumping In Feet First
I think I missed the part where Janine asked Ryan to marry her. Maybe the sun has finally melted away the last remaining brain cells that were still functioning. She acts like it was a joke and Ryan's just stunned by it. I'm surprised too but I guess that's because I don't remember her asking and no I wasn't drinking anything. He ends up talking to Whitney who is still worried about Billy. She just thinks he doesn't want to break up with her by text which sounds like something he'd do. Ryan does tell her that Bill does say good things about her. I wonder if he'll be back after all he did just up and disappear one day on Hollyoaks and poor reappeared her when I started watching this soap.
Well I can't say I'm thrilled about Janine and Ryan getting engaged even though in a bizarre way they seem to fit if that makes any sense. At least it isn't a rapist asking his victim the same question which is just disgusting. Okay I'll avoid that rant because I'd be sure to rant about which I can save for that babble later on today if I can stomach it. Tiffany even gave the ring back so he could ask her and he got down on one knee. I think he might live to regret it. Janine's still being weird but I wonder if that has to do with her being blonde. Not sure if I like it or not. I guess I don't hate it but I think I'm more distracted by her acting like she's drunk or something. Who knows maybe she has a brain tumor.
I think Peggy would get along with Stephanie Forrester. Once again someone said over my dead body but this time it was Peggy. She doesn't want the Vic sold but there's not much she can do about it since Roxy owns the place and wants to sell. They did end up doing a fake set of books for the guy but he seemed to be clever since he spotted that right away. Of course he also thought Glenda was a hooker. I wonder if he thought Ronnie was a hooker too. Maybe he's just trying to sweet talk Peggy because he wants to buy the pub.
I guess Max decided to try a new approach with Jack who was thinking he wasn't going to be able to walk for his wedding. So Max went with a little tough love although he was a bit of an ass you have to admit that it did work. That's good to know that poking the guy in the wheelchair with a stick and pouring OJ or maybe it was lemonade while taunting him will get his ass out of the chair. I think he should have at least hit Max. Sure he was trying to help but come on he couldn't think of another way to do it?
I guess this was one of those moments when desperate times called for desperate measures so of course Ronnie goes home to see him standing. She does make a point of mentioning it to Peggy and says that of course he's probably lying since that's what people do. Right on Ronnie for that. It just sucks that Peggy refuses to believe that Ronnie's telling the truth because that means she fell in love with a man that was capable of such a horrible thing. It could have been worse since she could have married a Scumera one of the most evil families in all the land. I wonder if she'll ever come to terms that Ronnie's telling the truth about Archie.
I'm still not sure what to make of Bianca going off to this Bobby person. That's the name she said when she was talking on the phone. Now that I think about it Ricky wasn't around so maybe she's sneaking off to meet Ricky since things haven't been good in the bedroom lately. I hope she isn't having an affair although I'm sure that's what Carol suspects which is why she dumped the kids off with Pat in the first place. She certainly isn't going to a book club all dressed up like that.
So the next time you need a sitter mention a party after all it worked on Minty. Is it such a good idea to leave him alone with a baby when there's beer around that you're telling him to drink? Shirley and Heather go out to dinner and Shirley decides she wants to get some payback on Phil for sleeping with Lorraine or whatever the hell her name is. She hits on the waiter and makes a bit of an ass of herself. Janine is kind of right that these two do belong together but they kind of bring out the worst in each other too. Heather ends up having to call Minty because oh the shock Janine won't help Heather take her home. I thought Minty wasn't allowed to leave and where is George?
