Belinda Emmett Dies

Some sad news today - Belinda Emmett has passed away, aged just 32. She died in hospital after a long battle with cancer, with her husband Rove McManus by her side. She was known for her work on Hey Dad, Home and Away and All Saints.

I knew she was still ill and she never looked particularly well during appearances, but I was shocked when I heard the news. My thoughts go out to Rove, her family and her friends. Rest in peace, Belinda.

And poor Rove, and her family.

Life can be so cruel...to have breast cancer so young in the first place, then to get bone cancer.

She was so young, and so beautiful.

K.L Almeroth, I agree, it does seem very cruel. She always seemed so positive about life, despite the hardships that were thrown her way.

Thanks for passing this sad news on, I hadn't heard before I read your post.

I always remember Belinda from her role in Home and Away and, like you said, she never looked terribly healthy when appearing on TV in recent years. Never really thought she'd die, though; not yet.

My heart goes out to Rove and her family.

Andrea, Yolanda and Tracy - thank you for your comments. It seems that everyone is shocked and surprised by this sad news.

I just read an article that said Rove Live will be cancelled this week, which I imagined would probably happen. Rove and Belinda seemed utterly devoted to each other. It wouldn't surprise me if the show doesn't return again this year.

Bryn, there is definitely no Rove Live this week. I believe there are only three episodes left of the season, so it wouldn't surprise me if the show doesn't return again this year.
